Gregory R. Bierbaum

August 25, 1955 — September 13, 2011

Gregory "Greg" R. Bierbaum, 56, of Bethlehem, PA died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born August 25, 1955 he was the son of June Bierbaum-Gollatz and the late Robert Bierbaum.

Greg was the owner of Valley Wall EIFS/Stucco. Prior to owning his own company he worked for the Bethlehem Steel as a crane operator in the beam yard, Ingot Mold Foundry and also worked for R.L. Reppert Construction. Greg lived life to the fullest. He loved Sprint Car racing and was part owner of the Highway Autobody-Valley Wall #3 Sprint Racing Car. Greg was an avid collector of vintage lunch boxes.

He will be lovingly remembered by his companion, Mary Felix, mother, June Bierbaum-Gollatz, grandfather, Frank Gollatz, sisters, Michelle wife of Jim Colbert and Valerie wife of Jeff Krause, niece, Ashley Krause, nephew, Andrew Krause and godson, Alex Toulomelis. He was also survived by his dogs Sugar and Charlie. Greg was often named the Godfather to many of his family and friends children each whom had a special place in his heart.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Gollatz.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 9-11:30 AM at Connell Funeral Home, inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a service at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Greg's name to Homes For Heroes Foundation 3495 Northdale Blvd, Minneapolis, MN 55448.
