Harry J. "Hank" Thompson, 75, of Bethlehem died on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at his residence.

He was born in Allentown, the son of the late Harry and Ellen Curry Thompson.

Hank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Shirley Sayer Thompson.

He was a graduate of Bethlehem High School.

Hank worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. as a Draftsman and later worked at Bethlehem Catholic High School.

He was Judge of Elections for the 9th District-2nd Ward for many years. Hank also volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America over 20 years. Earlier Hank was a member of the Civil Air Patrol.

Hank was an avid gardener and was a train enthusiast.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley; and children, Patricia A. wife of Robert Scheffler of Florida; Barry Thompson of Bethlehem; Carol, wife of Kenneth Schmidt of Florida; David A. Thompson husband of Kathy of Wilson and Kathleen A., wife of Stephen Moosbrugger of Philadelphia, PA

Hank is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren

Hank was preceded in death by his sister Helen and brothers Francis and James.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Saturday January 5, 2008 from 6-8PM with a service to follow at 8PM.
