Hector Suarez

June 6, 1935 — March 29, 2007

Hector F. Suarez, 71, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ.

He was born in Fountain Hill, the son of the late Fidel and Pilar Texidore Suarez.

Hector was the loving husband of Rita A. Coyle-Suarez. They celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary last October 25th.

He served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War, and was a Plank Owner of the USS Intrepid.

Hector worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for 35 years before retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the American Legion, Southside Booster, and Holy Infancy Catholic Church of Bethlehem.

Hector was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed Lehigh wrestling, Penn State University Football and the Dallas Cowboys.

Hector will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rita, son, David C. Suarez of Bethlehem; daughter, Susan H. Bold & her children Thomas and Matthew; and daughter Cheryl Ann Suarez-Karchin, wife of Richard and son Danny Martucci of Bethlehem; brothers, Raul B. Suarez of Vancouver, BC; Richard of Long Island, N.Y.; Robert of Bethlehem; sisters, Consuelo Almadovar of Bethlehem; Rita Vasquez of Center Valley, and Marie Silfies of Bath.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Filaseta and his son-in-law Michael Bold

. Services: A visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 7-9 PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and again on Tuesday April 3, 2007 from 8-9:15AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 3, 2007 at 10AM at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 East Fourth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Memorials may be made to the church.
