Helen A. Zavecz

Helen A. Zavecz, 89, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Blough Healthcare. She was born in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Julius and Clara Fabian Szarka Nagy. She was the devoted wife of the late William Zavecz who died in 1996. They were married for 50 years.

Helen was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of the former St. John Capistrano and current member of St. Ursula Catholic Church.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, William "Billy" Zavecz. Helen was also preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Pcihoda, Mary Youngkin and Clara Derrico, her step sister, Irma Weider and brother, Joseph Sarko.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4-5 PM and again on Monday from 10-11 AM with a ceremony to immediately follow in the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ursula Catholic Church 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015.
