Helen B Gollatz

Helen B Barna aka Barner Gollatz, 95 , of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, February 28, 2009 at St. Luke's VNA Hospice House in Bethlehem. Helen was born in Cementon PA and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Demko Barna aka Barner and is the wife of Frank Gollatz of Bethlehem with whom she celebrated 75 years of marriage in August of 2008.

Helen worked for Western Electric as a technician retiring in 1976 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Pioneer Club and was a member of the Ladies Auxiallary of the Woodmen Lodge.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Frank, son Frederick Gollatz and his wife Irene of Northampton, PA , daughter June Gollatz of Bethlehem, sister Julia Kuzmin of Bethlehem, four grand chlidren, Greg Bierbaum, Denise Mickley, Michelle Colbert, Valerie Krause and five great grandchildren, Ashley and Andrew Krause, Kristen Motsko, Justin and Ryan Mickley and two great great grandchildren, Devin and Madison Motsko.

Helen was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem.
