Helen Bodak

Helen Kereczman Bodak, 82, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Kost Kereczman. She was the loving wife of Michael Bodak, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past November.

Helen dedicated her life to her family. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Bethlehem where she was the past President of the Rosary Society; she also was in charge of the kitchen and sang on the choir for many years.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Michael Bodak, several nieces and nephews, and many friends at the church.

Helen is predeceased by her infant daughter, Helen Bodak, two brothers, Charles and Andrew Kereczman, and five sisters, Mary Cherkis, Ann Madzarac, Julia Koslosky, Irene Slivko and Helen Kereczman.

Visitation will be at Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Parastas at 7:00 PM

Panchida will be held at Connell Funeral Home, on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at 9:00 AM, Followed by the Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at SS Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr., Bethlehem, on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
