Helen C. Kardos

Helen C. Kardos, 90, of Hellertown, died on January 15, 2016. She was born on September 30, 1925 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Donchecz) Gecsek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph C. Kardos, Sr.

Helen worked as a sewing machine operator and later for Champion Spark Plugs, prior to dedicating her life to her family. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was a wonderful cook and baker. Helen especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her family; son, Rudolph C. Kardos, Jr.; brothers, John and Stephen Gecsek; sisters, Irene Skelly and Ethel Wilhelm; her grandchildren, Shelly and her husband, Andras, Tracey and her husband, Donald, Wendy, Raymond, Stephanie, Rudy, and Nevada and great grandchildren, Dwayne, Emily, Olivia, Tori, Dylan, Andras, Mischa, Skye and Lily. She was predeceased by her eight other siblings.

The family will receive guests on Friday, January 22, 2016 from 9-10 a.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service to immediately follow at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
