Helen Check

Helen Check, 88, of Bethlehem, died December 6, 2006 at Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Center Valley. Born, December 4, 1918, in Bethlehem; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Matilda Check.

Helen was a life-long member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church of Bethlehem, where she was a member of the Sodality and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the First Ladies Catholic Slovak Association.

Helen is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Veronica Scerbak, Anna Check, Mary Check and Irene Ulincy; brothers, John and George Check.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 11th at SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 617 Pierce St; Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be held in the church from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday. Interment will be at the SS Cyril and Methodius Cemetery.
