Helen D. Garza

Helen D. Garza, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, January 13, 2017. She was born June 12, 1933 in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Brigido G. and Beatrice (Cortez) Garza.

Helen was a 1951 graduate of Liberty High School. Upon graduation, Helen began her career in the Billing Dept. of the Bethlehem Steel Corp., retiring in 1985. She was a parishioner of Holy Infancy Catholic Church.

Helen will be dearly missed by her sisters, Pilar Ziegenfuss of Virginia; Josephine Perez and her husband, Pedro of Bethlehem; and Eleanor Bencak of Lancaster and her brother, Richard Garza and his wife, Jean of Bethlehem as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Lupe Stass, Andrea “Bage” Garza and Ernestine Wolf and her brother, Brigido “Chick” Garza.

The Connell Funeral Home is honored to assist in the services for Helen. A visitation will be held at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 8:45-9:45 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church, and/or Sisters of St. Joseph Villa, 110 W Wissahickon Ave., Flourtown, PA 19031.
