Helen D. Sipes

August 30, 1920 — September 8, 2012

Helen (Daday) Sipes, RN, 92, of Allentown, PA died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Mosser Nursing Home in Trexlertown, PA. Born August 30, 1920 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Farris) Daday. She was married to the late Dr. Earl K. Sipes.

Helen was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, Sacred Heart School of Nursing and she also received a Bachelor's degree from Cedar Crest College. She worked alongside her husband in private practice at Sacred Heart Hospital until their retirement in 1995. Helen also volunteered much of her time serving on several boards and also fundraising for many charities and organizations.

Helen is survived by sister, Dorothy, wife of Michael Fota.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Richard and Bernard Daday.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Connell Funeral 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:00-9:45 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation 421 Chew St. Allentown, PA 18102.
