Helen E. Bianckini, 89, of Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Hospice House of St. Luke's.
She was born on June 14, 1920 in Bethlehem; the daughter of the late Leon and Mary Zambrzycki.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years James W. Bianckini.
She retired from the Bethlehem Steel Corp. where she worked as a Secretary for the Coke Oven Facility.
Helen was very devout and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bethlehem and later attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Bethlehem where she was a member of the Women's Guild.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kathleen Prutzman of Bethlehem as well as her granddaughters, Courtney Prutzman of Arlington, VA and Hillary Prutzman of Harrisburg, PA
Helen was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jamie Prutzman.
Helen was a very friendly and social person. She enjoyed attending plays, traveling, dining out and watching Dancing with the Stars. Helen was most happy when she was surrounded by her good friends and family.
The family will receive friends at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 6-8 PM and again on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 9-9:30AM
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem PA 18020 on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 10 AM.
Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place Suite 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or Children's Endowment of the Bethlehem Public Library 11 W. Church St.
