Helen Joan Dennis

Helen J. Dennis, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem.

She was born July 19, 1918 in Red Bank, NJ; the daughter of the late William and Isabelle Warkala.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Edward Dennis. Helen and Edward enjoyed dancing together as well as socializing with all of their friends from their neighborhood, the MORA Club and the members of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She also enjoyed bowling and playing bridge and was a former member of the Bethlehem Garden Club.

Helen was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Helen dedicated her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Nancy E. and her husband Stan Zapotocki of Hellertown; her sons Robert A. of Bethlehem Twp.; Jeffrey J. and his wife Peg of Lansdale; Richard S. and his wife Luanne of Wesley Chapel, FL and Thomas E. and his wife Catherine of Slatington as well a 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Alice Kline of Long Island, NY.

Helen was also predeceased by her four sisters, her brother and her daughter-in-law, Donna.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 7-8:30 PM and again on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 8:30-9:15 AM at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
