Helen L. Ungurian

Helen L. Ungurian beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Westminster Village. A long time resident of Bethlehem, Helen Ungurian was born April 18, 1911 in Sasca Montana, Romania, to William and Susanna Iovan Buda. Married at age 15 to Emil M. Ungurian, she emigrated with him to the U.S. in 1927. They were the parents of two daughters, Emmeline, wife of Leonard R. Dimmick and Dr. Gisela ?Giz? wife of Dr. Mervin Smolinsky.

She was a homemaker who learned to speak, read, and write in English. She excelled in needlework, was an excellent baker, and she loved gardening.

She was a member of Christ U.C.C. Church where she was a quilter. For many years, she was also a member of the Bethlehem women?s club. She also played pinochle; but her special joy was her family.

In addition to her daughters and sons-in-law she is survived by two grandchildren, Cheryl Corsa wife of James Corsa and Thomas Hoffman, and two great-grandchildren Andrew and Michael Corsa.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Internment will be at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
