Helen M. Posavek

Helen M. Barback Posavek, 93, of Bethlehem, PA passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at home. Born December 27, 1916 in Fountain Hill, PA she was the daughter of Helen Kasenich and Stephen Barback. She was married to the late Stephen J. Posavek, Sr. who passed away in 1983.

Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Township. Helen was a very proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and catering to her family. She was a loving, giving, caring and genuine woman who loved life and lived it to the fullest till the day she went to Heaven.

Helen was the best mother and forever kept in the hearts of her children, Shirley Posavek of Bethlehem with whom she resided, William J. Posavek, Sr. of Bethlehem, Stephen Posavek, Jr. and Sylvia Rignoli both of Conneticut, sisters, Josephine Benko, Rose Svajko and Theresa Sandor. She will also be remembered by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Peter Barback and Stephen Barback, sisters Anna Krajci and Mary Zebrowski.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A service will be held Friday morning at 10 AM in the funeral home with a calling period from 9-10 AM followed by burial at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
