Helen M. Wasil, 86 of South Bethlehem died Tuesday morning at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Bethlehem she is the daughter of the late Stephen P. and Helen Balik Wasil.
Helen lived, worked and worshipped in Bethlehem her entire life.
She was a life long member of the former SS. Cyril and Methodius Church in Bethlehem and currently a member of Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish in Bethlehem.
She worked for the former Champion Spark Plug Manufacture in Hellertown for 31 years retiring in 1983 as a Packer.
She was very proud of her Slovak heritage and was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Union Branch 74 and the Catholic Sokols.
Helen enjoyed her many trips to the Conventions throughout the United States and had the honor of meeting The Pope in the Vatican during one of her trips.
Always with a big smile she truly enjoyed her time with her family and the many trips to Atlantic City.
She will be dearly missed by her son Stephen J. Wasil and his wife MaryAnn of Bethlehem, her granddaughters: Stephanie Ann wife of Brian Weirauch and Melissa Ann Wasil and her two nieces: Nancy and Kathy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be Friday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Church.
Memorials may be made to Incarnation Church or to Hospice at St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway Bethlehem Pa 18017.
