Helen Makuvek

Helen Petho Makuvek, 93 , of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, May 12, 2007 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. She was born in Bethlehem and was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Battyani Petho Sr.. Helen was the widow of John Makuvek Sr.

Helen worked in food service department for over 30 years for the Bethlehem Area School District at the Miller Heights Elementary School. She was a member of First Zion Hungarian Lutheran Church in Bethlehem and was a member of the Bethlehem Township Autumn Club.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sons John Makuvek Jr. and his wife Louise of Bethlehem and Andrew Makuvek and his wife Diane of Lancaster, NY, a brother Frank Petho of Bethlehem Township, five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday May 16, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Funeral Service will be held at Connell Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Hellertown.
