Helen Morrison Downey

Helen Morrison Downey, 75, of Breinigsville, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on September 1, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was born on July 20, 1946 in Germany to the late Stanley and Tekla (Prach) Morrison.

Helen worked as a clerk in the medical field for many years. She was an active member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bethlehem where she was an assistant to Father Daniel Gurovich.

Helen will be dearly missed by her sons, Donald Michael Downey, III (Sandy) of Bath; and Michael Scott Downey of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Zachary and Alise; brother, David Morrison; sister, Donna Chromiak; as well as her nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Brian David Downey.

Friends and family will be received Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Office of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the church.
