Helen R. Szczepanski

Helen R. Szczepanski, 91, of Bethlehem, passed peacefully at her residence as she slept, the morning of April 25, 2015. She was born December 10, 1923; daughter of the late Frank A. and Margaret B. (Novotny) Bednarik. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Casmir T. Szczepanski. Helen was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and was a member of the senior citizens group and she remained a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish.

She dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Rita A. and her husband, Edward Kapun of Bethlehem; Rosemarie H. Szczepanski with whom Helen resided; sons, Joseph T. Szczepanski and his wife, Christine of Albuquerque, NM and Thomas J. Szczepanski and his wife, Susan of Edmond, OK; her daughter-in-law, Christina Szczepanski, wife of the late Lt. Col. John C. Szczepanski of Huntsville, AL; her sister, Margaret Sanchack of Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Casmir; son, John; sisters, Elizabeth Mikitka and Mary Vresk and brother, Francis Bednarik.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 8:15-9:!5 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or to Holy Family Manor, 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
