Helen R. Unger

Helen R. Unger (nee Ranilovich), 93, of Bethlehem Township, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Born on March 4, 1920; daughter of Savo and Anna Ranilovich. She was the widow of Joseph A. Unger, to whom she was married for 72 years. Helen was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish. She attended Bethlehem area schools and worked at Schoebel Brothers. Her whole life centered on her husband, and she doted on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Greatly loved, she is survived by her daughters, Joyce Feit (Joel) Mount Laurel, NJ and Kathleen Deiter (late William A.) of Bethlehem Township. She was an adored grandmother “Grams” to Lori Zsitek, Mark Schumacher (Carol), Alan Grinchuk (Dee), and the late Michael Grinchuk; great-grandchildren, Courtney Zsitek, Julia and Emily Schumacher and Hannah Grinchuk (her E-Gram); niece, Anna Marie Marth; Kathleens step-family, Stuart and Jane Bedics and their daughters, Autumn and Avery. She was predeceased by brothers, Milan and George and sisters, Elizabeth Czipoth and Dorothy Marth.

Services: Visitation on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St, Bethlehem, PPA 18018 from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions in Helens memory may be made to the charity of ones choice or St. Lukes Hospice 2455 Black River Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
