Helen Rittoper Kadar

March 27, 1927 — July 13, 2008

Helen Rittoper Kadar, 81, of Wilson Borough died peacefully Sunday morning among family members. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Rittoper. She was the loving wife of the late Frank E. Kadar.

Helen had retired from a career working for Laneco. Brought up on a farm in Bethlehem, Helen loved the outdoors and animals. She thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with her children and later her grandchildren at her cabin in the Poconos. Helen was an expert at quilting and took great pleasure giving her works to her family members. Helen also enjoyed travel, reading, hosting the annual family reunion and luncheons with "The Ladies."

Survivors: daughters, Regina Creitz and her husband Edward and Andrea Newman and her husband Peter all of Easton; and Lisa Pany and her husband Stephen of Schnecksville. Grandchildren, Daniel Newman of Manayunk, PA; Amanda Brown of Newark, NJ; Mara Newman of Easton; and Rebecca, Samuel and Hannah Pany all of Schnecksville. Sisters, Elsie Rentzheimer and her husband Karl of Hellertown; and Elizabeth Reinhard and her husband William of Bethlehem. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph husband of Gloria, deceased, and Ernest husband of Louise all of Bethlehem.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be held from 10:30-12:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
