Helen S. Poehler

Helena S. (Lipko) Poehler, 74, of Bethlehem died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at St. Lukes Hospital-Fountain Hill Campus surrounded by her loving family. Born in Quakertown and raised in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Helen (Terdik) and John E. Lipko, Sr. She was married to Albert “Hap” Poehler with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this April 7th.

Helen retired from Manor Care Nursing Home, formerly Leader Nursing Home and also worked part-time in Martin Towers and the Lehigh Research Center. Helen was devoted to her family and enjoyed every minute spent with them. Her home was always open to her family, as well as her childrens friends and would treat them as her own.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Albert, children, Randy, Eric, Melissa and fianc, Leroy Hinton, sister, Patricia (Lipko) Reszek, grandchildren, Maya and Jaise Poehler, Elijah and Alivia Tillman, and Jayden Hinton. She will also be greatly missed by so many adoring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, John E. Lipko, Jr. and brother-in-law, Calvin Reszek and her furry companion, Bear.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 5-8 PM, with a prayer service at 6:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Helens name to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd., Easton, PA 18042.
