Helen Simmers

Helen Simmers, 89, of Bethlehem passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Old Orchard Manor Care in Bethlehem. Born April 16, 1925 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Zavitz) Kuronye. She was married to Harry W. Simmers for 33 years until his death on October 16, 1997.

Helen worked at the Fountain Hill Mills as a sewing machine operator for 23 years.

She is survived by her niece, Mary Lasso with whom she resided, three nieces and two nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Kuronye and Mary Nemchick and brothers, Ernest, William and Frank Kuronye.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
