Helen T. Benavage

Helen T. Benavage, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. Born in Swoyersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary Maholick. She was the wife of the late Edwin C. Benavage with whom she celebrated 45 years of marriage before he passed away in 1993.

Helen was a member of Notre Dame Church in Bethlehem, where she was a member of the over 55 club. She worked for D. Theodoridis and Sons for over 20 years. Helen enjoyed being with her family, traveling and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ed, of Boyertown and Michael and wife Debra of Orefield, grandchildren, Stephen and Erin Benavage, sister, Agnes of Allentown and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her brother Peter Maholick.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-9 PM and on Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 8:30-9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. PA 18018 at 10 AM.
