Helen T. Brennan

Helen T. Brennan, 90, of Bethlehem Township, died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Hospice House of St. Lukes. She was born April 6, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA; daughter of the late Richard and Adelaide (Staats) Thoden. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Brennan, Sr.

Helen was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for 59 years, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the UFCW union local 1776 Retirees Auxiliary Club and Helen also served as a volunteer at St. Lukes Hospital from August 1982 to November 2009 with 5047 hrs of service.

Helen dedicated her life to her family and will be greatly missed by her sons, John C. Brennan, Jr. and wife Jan of Delran, NJ; Michael L. Brennan and wife Laurel of Cherry Hill, NJ; Richard A. Brennan and wife Bonnie of Bethlehem, Dennis M. Brennan and wife Lauren of Bethlehem, Christopher M. Brennan of Pompano, FL; and Joseph F. Brennan of Bethlehem Twp.; her daughter, Marie E. Clause and her husband, Raymond of Easton; 17 grandchildren, Dan, Kristen, Megan, Erin, Lia, Erin, Mark, Ashley, Kevin, Julia, Brandon, Devin, Shana, John, Patrick, Sean and Alex, nine great grandchildren; sisters, Anne Maguire, Janet Velazquez, and Margaret Rossi, brothers, Richard , Phillip, Robert and William Thoden, sister-in-law, Anne Corrine and dear neighbors, Tom and Bev Kincaid.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Nicole and sisters, Theresa Heath, Rosemary McGrath, Adelaide Robertson, and Sister Marie Richard Thoden, IHM.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Another viewing will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817, 1st St, Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Thursday from 11 AM- 12PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM.
