Helen V. Dancho

Helen “Blondie” V. Dancho, 97, of Bethlehem died Monday, May 23, 2016 in her daughters home with her family by her side. Born December 1, 1918 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Zuzanna (Harvilla) and John Bilsak. She was married to the late George G. Dancho for 60 years until his death on March 7, 2001.

Helen worked for the Chickadee Dress factory in Bethlehem and was a member of the IGLWU. She was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish in Bethlehem and the Southside Senior Citizens. Helen loved to baking but most of all going to bingo with her friends. She put everyone above herself and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Helen will be lovingly remembered by her son, Ronald “Gus” G. Dancho and wife Dolores of Bethlehem, daughter, Donna Engel of Bethlehem Township, brother, William Bilsak and wife Kitty of Bethlehem, grandson, John Engel and companion Joan Szemenyei of Bethlehem, granddaughter, Lori wife of Jeff Donavan of Bethlehem, step grandsons, Todd Egry and wife Michele of Walnutport and Eugene Egry and wife Lisa of Catonsville, MD and three great granddaughters, Katie, Rachel and Amanda. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Bartos and four brothers, John, Stephen, Joseph and Michael Bilsak.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish 617 Pierce Street, Bethlehem PA 18015 10-11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
