Helen Valerie Yob

Helen Valerie Yob, 82, of Bethlehem passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 at the Novant Health Haymarket Medical Center in Virginia. She was born in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Douglas) Stern. She was the wife of the late Louis Yob. Helen worked for over 30 years as a secretary for Bethlehem Steel. She was a member of St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fountain Hill, Pa. Helen enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for her family. She also loved to bake, especially the family favorite, kiffles, and collect recipes.

She will be loving remembered by her sister, Catherine Oliver of Virginia, step-sons, Louie Yob and wife Karen and Brian Yob all of Bethlehem, nieces, Barbara Wren, Sharon Seelig, Debra OBoyle, Stacy LaVenuta and their families all of Virginia, Joyce Dickey, Susan Hoffman, and Elizabeth Houser, nephews, Fred Donatelli and John Sterns, and many other great nieces and nephews, God-son, Phillip Yob, and step- grandchildren, Anthony, Erin, and Allison.

A viewing will be held from 11-12 Noon on Friday July 21, 2017 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by services at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
