Helen Valish

Helen Valish, 90, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at her residence.

She was born September 2, 1918 in Hellertown, the daughter of the late Gergel and Theresa Weinhoffer Borocky.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Frank S. Valish on March 6, 1999

She retired in 1981 after 20 years of service at the former Trio Togs Mills in Bethlehem Twp. and was a member of the ILGWU Local #234.

Helen was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Frank A. Valish husband of Olga of Bethlehem; Theresa M. wife of Ronald Schaeffer of Bethlehem Twp.; Karen wife of Charlie Larson of Evergreen, CO and Sharon Valish of Bethlehem as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Helen is also survived by her sisters Alice Zambo of North Carolina and Gloria Ternyik of Florida.

Helen was predeceased by her sisters Anna Kovary, Mary Hornynk and Margaret Borocky and her brother William Borocky.

Helen will be remembered for her kind and caring heart; she always made everyone feel so special. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, crocheting as well as gardening and she especially loved spending time with her pride and joy; her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Wednesday April 30, 2008 from 9:15 to 10:15AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church First St. Miller Heights on Wednesday April 30, 2008 at 11AM.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
