Hermina Julia Gassler

Hermina Julia Gassler, 87, of Bethlehem, peacefully went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at L.V. Hospital-Muhlenberg.

She was born January 15, 1922 in Coplay, the daughter of the late Michael and Cecelia Lederer Gollar.

Hermina retired from the Bethlehem Area School District after 15 years of service.

She will be lovingly remembered by her family, son, Rev. Frank John Gassler, Jr.; daughter, MaryAnn C. Reiter; son Michael E. Gassler all of Bethlehem; son Thomas M. Gassler of Bethlehem Twp.; 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Hermina is also survived by her sisters Evelyn Henits of Coplay, Anna Bloszinsky of Catasaqua and Margie Sellers of Alabama and her brother Alfred Gollar of Northampton.

Hermina was preceded in death by her sister, Cecelia, brother, Michael and grandson, Michael.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral home, Inc. Bethlehem

Hermina's family will receive friends on Saturday April 4, 2009 from 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.

Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
