Honore Zettlemoyer

Honore Zettlemoyer, 77, of Bethlehem died on Friday, September 25, 2009 at Hospice House of VNA of St. Luke's. Born in White Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late John R. & Honore Caffrey Martini. She was the wife of James E. Zettlemoyer, Sr. of Hellertown.

Honore retired in 1995 from Lucent Technologies as a layout operator in the clean room.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bath and a former member of St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church in Laurel, Md. where she was a member of the Ladies of Charity and served as secretary of the Sanctuary Society. She was a volunteer at the Laurel Library and a member of the Quilting Guild. She was also an avid Mets fan.

She will be lovingly missed by three sons; Thomas A. and his wife Karen of Bethlehem, CSM Joseph P. and his wife Tina in Hawaii and John D. and his wife BettyAnn of Hellertown; two daughters, Mary Bartakovits and her fianc Ed Powell of Lehighton and Jane, wife of Brian Borkowski of Bath. Also surviving is a brother Thomas Martini of Nazareth and two sisters Mary, wife of Joseph Kenihan of Laurel, MD and Anne Capuano of Bethlehem, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Zettlemoyer, Jr. in 2006 and a granddaughter Jacqueline.

Funeral services will begin at 9:15AM Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem. Calling hours will be on Monday, Sept. 28, 2009 from 7:00PM - 9:00PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
