Howard F. Bonser, Jr.

Howard F. Bonser, Jr., 77, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. He was born February 23, 1931 in Bethlehem, the son of the late Howard F., Sr. and Helen Frantz Bonser. He was the loving husband of Helen Oravec Bonser. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this past November 17th.

Howard retired from Bethlehem Steel after 32 years of service. Afterwards, he worked for ACME Supermarkets. He was a proud graduate of Liberty High School and enjoyed going to Liberty High School events. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Howard was also an avid golfer and bowler. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen, of Bethlehem, his sons,

Tom Bonser & his wife Jacqueline of Salisbury Twp.; Michael Bonser & his wife Vicki of Bethlehem; brother-in-law, Louis Oravec & his wife Evelyn of Bethlehem; sister-in-law, Marie Oravec of Bethlehem; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Tommy, Ella, Aiden & Stephanie Minarik. He was also survived by several loving and caring nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his one day old baby girl in 1961, two brothers, Russell & Walter Bonser and his sister, Beatrice Hageter

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Monday, May 12, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 416 East Fifth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 11, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
