Ida Gontar

Ida Gontar, 87, of Northampton, died on Friday, October 30, 2009 at Northampton Village Assisted Living.

She was born December 14, 1921 in Whitehall, the daughter of the late August and Mary Simitz Scharl.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Gontar and her daughter, Patricia Gontar.

She dedicated her life to her family while working on the family's farm.

Ida will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Annette and her husband Kevin Corona of Bethlehem.

The family will receive friends at Connell Funeral Home, Inc.245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 1-2 PM with a Ceremony to celebrate Ida's life to immediately follow.

Burial will be at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
