Irene A. Petraglia

Irene Check Petraglia, 90, of Stokesdale, NC, formerly of Bethlehem, PA, died Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. Born in Northhampton County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Sirocky Check. She was a member of Incarnation of the Lord and retired from Bethlehem Steel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers, Steven, John, Michael, Andy, Bartholomew, Richard, Emil, Frank and George, and three sisters, Margaret, Veronica, and Mary.

Irene is survived by her husband, John Patrick Petraglia; sons, John Petraglia and his wife, Marie, of North Carolina and Peter Petraglia and his husband Patrick, of California; grandsons, Sean Petraglia, of Northhampton, PA and Peter Petraglia, of Westbury, NY; and a sister, Sofia Kuritz, of Fountain Hill, PA.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St, Bethlehem, PA. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockingham County Honor Guard, c/o Tommy Allen, 259 Martinwood Rd, Eden, NC 27288.
