Irene C. Sniscak

Irene C. Fartun Sniscak, 92, of Bethlehem died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Westminster Village in Allentown.

Born May 29, 1916 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Barbara Cser and Ivan Fartun. She was married to Paul Sniscak who passed away in 1994.

Irene worked as a sewing machine operator for several factories throughout the Lehigh Valley. She was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bethlehem and recently joined St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem. She was also a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Senior Citizens Club.

Irene will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Amelia wife of Fred DeBellis of Bethlehem Township and son, Paul Sniscak and wife Barbara Gaspar Sniscak of Lilburn, GA. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Irene was preceded in death by her brothers, William and Charles Fartun and a step mother, Mary Szvetecz Fartun.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Tuesday December 30, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM. A service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 at 10 AM.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Irene's name to St. Anne's Catholic Church.
