Irene E. Nagy

Irene E. Nagy, 98, of Bethlehem Township passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was born on July 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Anna (Schultz) and Ignatz Reichard. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Nagy, Sr.

Irene was very active member of her community in Bethlehem Township. She was a Girl Scout leader for troop #44 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary B.T.F.C. She had a passion for crocheting, making numerous lap robes for residents at Moravian Village and afghans for her family. Nothing brought Irene more joy than being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoying a home-made ethnic meal or a kiffle.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Janet DiTroia and her husband, Joseph and Diane Karp and her husband, Thomas; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; Irene was preceded in death by her son, Frank Nagy, Jr.; sisters, Mary Herold, Theresa Neiberger, Elizabeth Chaszar and Emma Fogel and brothers, Frank and Joseph Reichard.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy School for Special Learning, 830 Woodward St. Allentown, PA 18103.
