Irene K. Butryn

Irene K. (Tullock) Butryn, 96, of Hellertown, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her residence. She was born on the Fourth of July in 1917, the daughter of the late John and Anne (Cesanek) Tullock. She was the devoted wife of Fred V. Butryn, Sr. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary before his death in 2004.

Irene devoted her life to her family. She was a parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Bethlehem; and a member of their Altar Rosary Society.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Fred V. Butryn, Jr. of Hellertown; David J. Butryn and his wife, Deborah of Mohrsville; and Katherine Chicchi and her husband, Louis of Slatington; her brother, Alfred Tullock, sisters, Dorothy Oranzac and Catherine Pritchard, ten grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Tullock and her sister, Anne Foley.

Services: A Funeral Service will held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 12 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a viewing from 11 to 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Assumption BVM in Northampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2166 S. 12th St. # 101, Allentown, PA 18103.
