Irene Ladics

Irene Ladics, 90, of Bethlehem, died Friday, March 2, 2007 at Manor Care Health Services in Bethlehem. She was born February 21, 1917 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Csaszar Csaszar. She was the loving wife of the late John "Butzie" Ladics, Sr.

Irene worked for Just Born Candies, Inc. for 22 years as a candy packer before retiring in 1975. She was a member of Bakery Confectionery and Tobacco Workers Union and a member of St. John's Windish Lutheran Church of Bethlehem.

Irene will be lovingly remembered by her son, John Ladics, Jr. and his wife Elaine of Bethlehem; sisters, Irma Matus of Bethlehem and Margaret Hawk of Jefferson, NC; two grandchildren, Dr. Gregory Ladics and his wife Lee Ann of Newark, DE; and Susan Ladics of Bethlehem and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Kelsey. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank & Louis Csaszar, a step-brother-Stephen Knecz and sister Irene Strauss.

Services: Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. at

St. John?s Windish Lutheran Church 617 East Fourth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 5, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and Tuesday, from 10-11 a.m. in the church.

Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park, in Bethlehem.
