Irene Lewis

Irene Lewis, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was the devoted and loving wife for 66 years of Robert E. Lewis. He was the love of her life.

Born on May 8, 1938, in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of the late Mabel (Morrison) and Richard Lamb.

Irene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a great sense of humor; you could always catch her telling a joke. Irene loved the Philadelphia Phillies and going to the casino with her husband, Robert. She was an exceptional cook, one of her family favorite recipes was molasses crumb cake.

Irene will be remembered for her caring and loving personality; she gave her life to her family.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Robert; daughter, Cynthia L. Lewis; three sons, Robert E. Lewis II, Scott A. (Mary) Lewis, and Kevin W. (Kim) Lewis; sister, Beatrice Lemmons; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Irene is preceded in death by her three sisters, Edith, Eunice, and Jeanette.

Services will be private and at convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, Irenes family encourages anyone who wishes to make a donation to an organization of ones choice in memory of Irene.
