Irene Prestosh

Irene Prestosh, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, March 14, 2011. Born in Bethlehem on September 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Hoffich. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Prestosh.

Irene was a hotel proprietor for the former Hoffich's Hotel then worked as licensed practical nurse for both Sacred Heart and St. Luke's Hospitals. She was a member of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church and a life long designer and crafter of Pysanky.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, John, son, Dr. Chuck Prestosh and wife Jeralee, grandsons, Dr. Timothy Prestosh and wife Laurie, and Atty. Daniel Prestosh and wife Laine, great grandchildren, Alix, T.J., and Lylah, and niece, Victoria Bowyer and husband Kevin. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Prestosh, and brother, Vasil "Lefty" Hoffich.

Viewing hours will be held, in the funeral home, on Wednesday March 16th from 7 to 9 p.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem 18018. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery Bethlehem.
