Irene Rickert

Irene J. Rickert, 81, of Bethlehem and resident of Holy Family Manor, died on Friday, May 28, 2010 at L.V. Hospital-Muhlenberg.

She was born February 3, 1929 in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Julius and Victoria Verdensky.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kermit C. Rickert.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Miller Heights.

Irene dedicated her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Victoria, wife of Stephen Torok of Bethlehem Twp. and Cynthia, wife of Randy Schulter of Macungie; her sister, Agnes Holzer of Bethlehem Twp. as well as her three grandchildren, Daniel Torok and Kimberly and Eric Schulter and her great granddaughter Samantha Torok.

Irene was also predeceased by her sisters, Helen Belesky and Sophie Pochodylo and her brothers, Walter, Sigmund, Edward, Julius Jr. and Stanley.

Irene's family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018.

Another viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 11-12 at Holy Family Manor Chapel 1200 Spring St. Bethlehem PA 18018 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
