Irene St. Maria

Irene St. Maria, 95, formerly of Bethlehem died Tuesday evening, June 30, 2009 at Manor Care Health Services, Montgomeryville, PA. Her husband, the late James P. St. Maria, died January 11, 1999. Born in Berwick, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Goldie Papp Nemeth.

Irene worked for almost 30 years at the former Ezra D. Groman Bakery on Linden St. in Bethlehem, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Irene will be sadly missed by her daughter Jo Anne Butterworth and her husband Walter of Maple Glen, PA, her granddaughter Anne Andrews and husband John of Phoenixville and their children Jack and Elizabeth, her grandson Benjamin Fiore and wife Molly of Montgomeryville and their children Christopher, Emma and Isabella. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Anna Jankowski and Helen Bologitz and two brothers, Frank and John Nemeth.

Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Church , 450 Washington Ave., Bethlehem at 11:00AM on Monday, July 13, 2009. The family will greet family and friends from 10:30AM - 11:00AM in the church. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
