Irene W. Bosch

Irene W. Bosch, 68, of Bethlehem, died on April 20, 2023. She was born on June 12, 1954, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Waypa) Wengryn. Irene is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Alan J. Bosch.

Irene will be lovingly remembered as a strong, independent, and loving wife, mother, and friend. Irene enjoyed scrapbooking and decorating for the holidays; with Halloween being her favorite holiday. Irene was proud of her home and had a remarkable eye for interior and exterior design and could often be found tending to her yard. Irene found great peace in her quiet time and had an abundance of love for dogs. Her compassion led to a belief in performing random acts of kindness for others.

During her years at Northampton High School, Irene excelled in basketball and field hockey. Irene began her career as a marketing assistant with Bethlehem Steel Corporation, where she worked for 20 years. Later she worked for Union Pacific and after 20 years, Irene retired from B. Braun Medical in 2018. Irene is a member of College Hill Moravian Church.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Alan; daughters, Jamie M. Hallahan and husband, Nick, of Bethlehem, Randi E. Bosch of Exton; stepson, Christopher Bosch of Bethlehem as well as her brother, Stephen Wengryn and wife, Kathleen, of Lancaster, and her support dog, Charlie.

Calling hours will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. The family will also receive guests from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at College Hill Moravian Church, 72 W. Laurel St., Bethlehem, PA 18018, immediately followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
