Irene Zalai

Irene Zalai , 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born February 14, 1927 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Julia Kucsan and Stephen Zalai.

Irene worked at the former Bethlehem Steel as a Chief Claims Clerk in the Safety Workman?s Compensation Division retiring after 37 years of service. She was a member of St. John?s Windish Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Theresa wife of Burkhardt Zorn, niece, Cindy wife of Bob Held, nephew, Burkhardt H. Zorn and wife Lyn, grand nieces, Jessica wife of Matthew Vilbas, Kristin Held, Andrea wife of Jared Hermany and Julia Zorn and grand nephew, JB Zorn and wife Rachael.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at St. John?s Windish Lutheran Church 617 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 from 9:30-11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Union Cemetery of Hellertown. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Irene?s name to St. John?s Windish Lutheran Church.
