Irma J. Murillo

Irma J. Murillo, 78, of Palmerton, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of St. Lukes in Bethlehem on Sunday, November 16, 2014. She was born June 10, 1936 in Aguascalientes, Mexico; daughter of the late, Manuel Rios and Josephine Juarez Sanchez. Irma was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Jose Murillo. Irma was a graduate of Jose Maria Vilaseca in Mexico City. She later worked for Laros Sportswear, Fernbrook and Pauline's as a sewing operator for 17 years. Irma was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, Palmerton and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Irma will be dearly missed by her step sister, Elisa Garcia of Bethlehem; her daughters, Maria Stevens, wife of the late Ricky E. and companion of Todd Kline; Christine Murillo; Tina Clements and Irma Bullard; her son, Diego Murillo and his wife, Robin; her grandchildren, Ricky E. Stevens, Jr., Joseph Donnelly, Kristin Kline Kresge and Kayla Kline; as well as her three great grandchildren.

Services were private. A memorial luncheon will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 1-3 p.m. at the Blue Shamrock in Palmerton. Memorial contributions may be made to The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Sacred Heart Parish, 259 Lafayette Ave, Palmerton, PA 18071.
