Isabelle M. Service

Isabelle M. Service, 94, of Riegelsville, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away at St. Lukes Hospice House on March 30, 2018. She was the daughter of Angela (Ummarino) and Domenic Morano. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Donchez and the widow of the late B. Ellis Service.

Isabelle graduated from Liberty High School in 1942. She started her career with the OPA and Ration Board during WWII, and retired as an executive secretary from the Bethlehem Globe Publishing Co. She was a charter member of the Former Springfield Township Lioness Club and a former member of the Minsi Trail Flower Club. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles and playing solitaire. Isabelle had a love for animals, especially her grand dogs, Buddy, Maltese, Robie and Ally.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Angela (Donchez) Kirkpatrick (Eric) of Riegelsville; step son, Allen Service of Riegelsville; step daughter, Dorothy Cochrane (Curtis) of Woodbridge, VA; grandchildren, Kimberly Kirkpatrick, AWFC (NAC/AW) Nichole Kirkpatrick USN, Corinne Service, Kelly Pratt (Blake), Lindsay Cochran, and Allen Service, Jr. (Dionne); great grandchildren, Brandy and Jamie Hauser, Ethan Gaugler, Brady and Abby Pratt and Benjamin A. Service; great-great grandchild, Juliana Hauser; niece, Carla (Morganello) Ross; nephew, Matthew Morganello; great niece, Lisa Morano; great nephew, Christopher Morano and great-great nieces and nephews. Isabelle was preceded in death by her sisters, Rose Morano, Anna Kozel, Frances Cirroco and Mary Morganello; brother, Vincent “Jimmy” Morano; stepson, Bruce Service; nephew, Dom Morano and his wife, Marie and great nephew, Kevin Morano.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 P.M. at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
