Isaura A. Alves

Isaura A. Alves, 92, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her residence in Bethlehem. Born November 8, 1931 in Vilar do Dão, Portugal, she was the daughter of Antonio Domingos Albuquerque and Maria Do Carmo. She was the loving wife of the late Jose Alves.

Isaura was devoted to her Christian Faith and a member of Holy Infancy Church. She worked many years in the sewing industry for Baba's Sportwear and later Sure-Fit. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking using fresh vegetables from her garden. Above all she was a " Mom extraordinaire" to her son, Tony.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Antonio A. Alves, his wife, Maria Helena, grandson, Paul A. Alves of Bethlehem and Margarida A. Lopes of Portugal. Isaura was preceded in death by her nephew, Afonso Albuquerque, brother, Jose Albuquerque and sister, Lucia Pinheiro.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 9-10 a.m. at Holy Infancy Church, 312 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the Church. Entombment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Infancy Church.
