Jack K. Burian

Jack K. Burian, 89, of Allentown, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, April 18, 2016, after a long illness. He was married to the late Mary A. (Filaseta) Burian for 62 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Richard and Florence (Keller) Burian.

After graduating from Allentown High School, he served in the US Navy during World War II and also served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for RCA Corporation as a television technician for 35 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a dear friend to so many. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Allentown. He enjoyed participating in bowling, golf and shuffleboard leagues and was also an active member of many local social clubs.

He is survived by five children, Carol Hagenbuch and her husband, Bruce of Bethlehem; Ronald and his partner, Linda of Quakertown; David and his wife, Phyllis of Bethlehem; Daniel and his wife, Karen of Ashland, Oregon; and Kevin and his wife, Klaudia of Lake in the Hills, IL; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sister-in-law, Elaine Filaseta of Linthicum Heights, MD; and nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and LaMont and his sister, Nada Morganstern.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, 18018, where family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
