Jacqueline E. Deininger

January 25, 1929 — February 18, 2010

Jacqueline Deininger, 81, a two year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Bethlehem, PA died on February 18, 2010 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

She was born in LaSalle, IL on January 25, 1929 to the late Elmer and Dorothy Effting.

Mrs. Deininger was a music teacher at the Northeast Middle School and for the Bethlehem School District until her retirement.

Her hobbies included quilting and vocal and instrumental music.

Mrs. Deininger attended the New Hope Community Church, and a member of the Calypso Chapter 162 of the Eastern Star in PA, Cathedral Church of Nativity Quilters, Saylorsburg Quilters, and the Retired Bethlehem Music Teachers. Previously she played percussion in the Allentown Marine Band and various other bands in the community, were she was a guest soloist Marimba player. She graduated from West Chester State University.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Deininger and her brother Thomas Effting.

Mrs. Deininger is survived by her daughter, Celeste Coffelt of Pasadena, her brothers Elmer Effting, Jr. and James Effting both of Allentown, PA, her sisters Georgia Egge of St. Paul MN, Carol Lohr of Lakewood, Colorado and Susan Kolarik of Gallup, New Mexico, and her grandson Kyle Coffelt of Pasadena.

Friends may call on Wednesday February 24, 2010 from 6-8PM at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Graveside Services will held on Thursday February 25, 2010 at 11AM at the Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice.
