Jacqueline "Jackie" B. Gackenbach

Jacqueline “Jackie” B. Gackenbach, 84 of Northampton died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest Campus. Born August 22, 1934 in Coplay, PA she was the daughter of the late Helen (Sechler) and Russell Knauss. She was married to Glenn B. Gackenbach for 54 years.

Jackie grew up in Northampton on her fathers farm, Knauss Diary Farm. Early on in her life she worked at the Allentown Hospital Pharmacy. Once she began her own family she dedicated herself to raising her three daughters. Jackie was a wonderful cook, talented singer, and would often write stories and poetry. She loved her family, dogs, Philadelphia Phillies, crocheting, gardening and her Genesee Beer.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Glenn, daughters, Susan Bennett and partner Christopher Werley, Lori Palencar, and Jill Gackenbach and partner Tobin Ross, granddaughters, Kaitlyne Scheirer, wife of Andrew, and Jenna Palencar, and great grandchildren, Heidi Lynn, Benjamin, and Lydia. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Robert, and Russell Knauss.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM and again on Friday morning from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Allen Union Cemetery in Northampton.
