Jaime G. Teles

Jaime G. Teles, 90 of Bethlehem, died Friday, March 9, 2018 in his home with his family by his side. Born October 14, 1927 in Funchal Madeira, Portugal he was the son of the late Maria (Batista) and Manuel Teles. He was married to Edna A. (Coruche) Teles for 68 years.

Jaime worked in the Coke Works at the Bethlehem Steel as a coal blender retiring after 40 years. Jaime came to the United States when he was 17 and through reading the New York Daily News he taught himself the English language and became a fan of the New York Giants and Yankees. His true passion was playing and watching soccer. His favorite team was Team Sporting in Portugal. Jaime could often be found watching sports or working in the yard maintaining a pristine yard. He truly loved and devoted his life to his family and spending time with them.

He will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Edna, devoted daughter, Janice wife of Micahel Concilio, daughter-in-law, Lynn Teles, brother, Luis Teles, grandchildren, Allyson wife of David Kaminsky, Tyler Teles, Kate wife of Ian Ferreira, Mallory Bauer, Evan Bauer and wife Emily, and Colin Bauer, and four great grandchildren, Alex, Jameson, Gabriel, and Camila. Jaime was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jim Teles and eight siblings.

A viewing will be held at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, March14, 2018 from 8:15-9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jaimes name to Holy Infancy Catholic Church or to St. Lukes University Hospital Stop the Bleed Program 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015.
