Jaime Joseph Marrero

Jaime Joseph Marrero, 80, of Bethlehem, PA passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born November 23, 1931 in Baranquitas, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Pedro Jose and Angela (Santini) Marrero. He was married to Graciela (Zuniga) Marrero with whom he just celebrated ten years of marriage this past September 14th.

Jaime proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 37 years. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem, the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society and St. Bernard's.

Jaime will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Hilda Marrero wife of Mark Gumulak and Angela wife of Louis Hassay, son, Jaime Marrero, Jr., brother, Danilo Marrero and grandchildren, Jason and Adam Marish, Matthew and Christopher Hassay and Jaime III and Autumn Marrero.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Awildo and Pedro Marrero, Jr.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 PM and again on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jaime's name to Holy Infancy Catholic Church.
